Theme: Boundless Opportunities in Operations Management
Scope:
We live in a rapidly changing world. New technologies such as big data, Internet of Things and 3D printing revolutionize how business is conducted in many industries and call for new models of process management. As many developing countries are increasingly playing a more prominent role in the world economy, global supply chain management undergoes major changes too. The world faces grand challenges in health care, sustainability and poverty that need to be tackled by more efficient resource deployment and innovative business models for resource allocation. All these create great research opportunities for the production and operations management (POM) community. To reflect this trend, the theme of the 8th POMS-HK International Conference is “Boundless Opportunities in Operations Management.” The conference will serve as a forum for academics and practitioners to share ideas, experiences and insights related to the latest developments in the field of POM.
